Alignment
We created an “alignment chart” that details the module topic, terminal and enabling objectives, assessment ideas, and the absorb-do-connect activities for the Research Writing in College course.

The module topic succinctly describes the subject of the particular module. Terminal objectives are what learners should be able to do at the end of that module. Enabling objectives involves the process students follow to achieve the terminal objectives. Assessment ideas are ways to measure what students know and are able to perform in meeting these enabling and terminal objectives. For this project, we are using Horton’s absorb-do-connect activities that will prepare students for meeting the terminal objectives.  Absorb activities involve students reading, listening, and watching. Do activities involve students exercising, exploring, and discovering. Connect activities involve students applying the current learning to previous learning or situations they are currently engaged.
